Community Advocacy Supports Program

Since 1978, Community Support Services has been offering services to individuals with developmental disabilities. One of the most varied services available is "Community Supports." The supports given are as individualized as the consumers involved in the program. Supports can vary from 24-hour supports to as little as two to three hours of supports a week. Day Program supports are based on individual needs which may include the traditional six hours per day (9:00 am to 3:00 pm), as well as individual supports anytime during the day or evening. Community involvement, life skills training, and non-paid work experience is encouraged in this program. Services may include help with budgeting, meal preparation, and parent aide skills, acting as a liaison for the consumer, to hands on support for individuals with physical needs.

Community Support Services can offer the following services to individuals who want to live in their own homes and maintain an optimal quality of life.
